AKA was founded in 2003 in Washington, D.C. with the attendance of representatives from the State of Kuwait with the then Prime Minister and current Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and senior U.S. government officials-including President Bush and Vice President Cheney—and over 350 leading figures in government, industry and academia from both the United States and Kuwait.
The membership of the American-Kuwaiti Alliance is comprised of leading U.S. and Kuwaiti businesses with an interest in the long-term future of U.S.-Kuwait commercial, political, and cultural relations. |
